CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2025) - The Charlotte County Economic Development Office, Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, and Florida Gulf Coast University are partnering to host the Charlotte County Workforce Roundtable: Challenges and Opportunities for Local Businesses on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center.
This interactive roundtable will bring together business, education, and community leaders to discuss Charlotte County's evolving workforce landscape. Attendees will explore ways to address workforce shortages, strengthen talent pipelines, and align education and training programs with the needs of local employers.
The discussion will be moderated by Kay Tracy, director of the Charlotte County Economic Development Office. Featured panelists include Eileen DeLuca, vice president of strategic initiatives and chief of staff at Florida Gulf Coast University; Peg Elmore, president and CEO of CareerSource Southwest Florida; Mark Vianello, superintendent of Charlotte County Public Schools; Michael Ehrat, CEO of HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital; and Dr. Chris Westley, dean of FGCU's Lutgert College of Business.
The event is open to Charlotte County business owners and employers.
