The Applegate (Bedminster, New Jersey) team is celebrating a major sustainability milestone following this year's Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California.

In addition to hosting a busy booth where the team served products and connected with customers, the brand received an honorable mention in the category of Regenerative Agriculture Leadership at the 2026 Climate Leaders Awards.

Back in March 2024, the Applegate team set an ambitious commitment to source 100% of the beef used in its hot dogs from certified regenerative farms by the end of 2025 - aiming to help transition 6 million acres of farmland. In just one year, the brand team surpassed that goal, contributing to the transition of 10.8 million acres of grasslands to certified regenerative, nearly doubling expectations in half the time.

The team also earned recognition at Organic Night Out, where Applegate was named a finalist in the category of Most Transformative Research - further highlighting the brand team's leadership in driving sustainable, research backed progress across the industry.
