PASADENA, Calif.- Pasadena's Public Works Department will begin construction on the FY26 Annual ADA Citywide Sidewalk Improvement Project on Monday, April 13, to repair damaged sidewalks and improve accessibility throughout the community.
In alignment with City Council's goals to maintain and enhance public infrastructure and improve mobility, the project will repair sidewalks at approximately 600 locations citywide. The project targets priority locations identified through ongoing maintenance and accessibility efforts. Work will include removal and replacement of roughly 75,000 square feet of sidewalk, as well as curb and gutter improvements where needed to enhance stormwater drainage (see Attachment A).
On November 24, 2025, the City Council approved a construction contract with C J Concrete Construction, Inc. to complete the work.
The project will enhance pedestrian safety, improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities, and support better drainage in surrounding neighborhoods. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, April 13, 2026, and is anticipated to be completed by July 2026.
