Pat Hisel Promoted to Deputy Fire Chief

Richton Park Village Manager Regan Stockstell is pleased to announce the appointment of Pat Hisel as the Village of Richton Park's next Deputy Fire Chief. Deputy Chief Hisel stepped into his new role this summer, on July 7th, following Deputy Chief Paul Hodges' retirement on June 27^th.

Hisel was recommended by Chief Mick Smith to fill the position after an internal recruitment process. Pat is a 30year fire service profession and has been a dedicated member of the Richton Park Fire Department for more than 14 years, rising through the ranks and holding positions of Lieutenant, Captain and now the Deputy Chief of Operations and Personnel. He holds a bachelor's and from Columbia Southern and currently obtaining a Masters degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, he also possesses numerous professional fire service certifications, including Chief Fire Office which he will complete this fall.

Chief Smith was quoted as saying "We will miss D/C Hodges and his institutional knowledge, however I am excited to work with D/C Hisel. The energy he brings, the level of experience, and ability to relate to the men and women of this department is exactly what we need to continue striving to be the best"
