Celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week, October 19-25

This week we're celebrating National Friends of Libraries Week! Membership in the Friends of the Bismarck Public Library is a great way to show your support for your public library. As a Friend of the Library, you'll gain valuable opportunities to give back to our community by sharing your expertise, time, and talents with Friends volunteer projects, including their amazing twice-yearly used book sales. The Friends' twice-yearly used book sales raise over $40,000 annually, funds that directly support programs and services beyond the library's operating budget. Recent programs and projects supported by the Friends include: a state-of-the-art 3D printer for Teen HQ, providing 6th-12th graders an opportunity to experience emerging technologies; colorful book-themed window art on the library's new 6th Street windows; ongoing operations of the Mobile Library program, providing library access to Bismarck residents who may not be able to visit the library in person; and much more!
