The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia Launches International Business Travel Assessment in Partnership with Philadelphia International Airport

PHILADELPHIA, PA -The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) today announced the launch of a new initiative, in partnership with Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), to assess the international travel needs of the region's business community.

"As our region continues to compete in the global economy, direct access to international destinations is increasingly important for business growth, talent attraction, and regional competitiveness," said Hasna Achik, Director, Economic Competitiveness Strategy, the Chamber. "This new partnership will ensure that future (or ongoing) air service development closely aligns with the needs and priorities of our business community and our Chamber as we work to make Greater Philadelphia a top global destination for business and a leader in inclusive growth."

This regional effort aims to capture both current business travel patterns and anticipated future demand to help guide strategic international air service development at Philadelphia International Airport. The insights gathered will play a vital role in strengthening Greater Philadelphia's global connectivity, expanding international routes, and enhancing access to key international markets for businesses across the region."Understanding the international travel needs of our region's business community is essential to shaping an air service network that supports economic growth," said Ryan Marks, Director of Air Service Development, Philadelphia International Airport. "We are excited to partner with the Chamber on this effort and look forward to using these insights to strengthen global connectivity and better serve Greater Philadelphia's business travelers."
