Horizon Bank Recognizes Advisors for Community Service — Dee Piotrowski, Jessica Beals, Pleya Nacht, Josh Shelley

Michigan City, Indiana - Horizon has recognized Advisors Dee Piotrowski, Jessica Beals, Pleya Nacht, and Josh Shelley with the Go Beyond Community Service Award.

Dee Piotrowski, VP, Sr. Technical Project Manager, was honored for her ongoing commitment to serving both inside the bank and throughout the community.

Piotrowski has lent her time and energy to countless causes, including Run for Hope for suicide awareness, SAG stops for the Tour de La Porte, and the Dragonboat Races supporting Dunebrook. Her dedication to helping others showcases her genuine passion for making a difference wherever she can.

"I'm deeply grateful for this recognition. Volunteering is something I do because I care deeply about our community and the people in it. Knowing that my efforts have made a positive impact truly means a lot to me. Thank you for this honor and for valuing my acts of service," expressed Piotrowski.

Jessica Beals, Treasury Management Officer, received the award for her tireless involvement in the Gaylord community since 2022. She's always looking for ways to bring people together.

"Thank you for the honor of receiving the Go Beyond Community Service Award. Being involved in the Gaylord community has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey. It's the priceless smiles on the faces of our youth that makes the hard work of volunteering all worthwhile." stated Beals.

Beals frequently works behind the scenes, creating meaningful experiences that showcase her commitment, creativity, and heart for the community. These qualities that perfectly embody the spirit of this award.

Pleya Nacht, AVP, Branch Manager, was honored for her dedication to Munster, Indiana, where she has volunteered, raised funds, chaired events, and championed causes close to her heart.

Nacht's involvement includes organizations such as Heroes Helping Heroes and the Merrillville Civitan Club. She demonstrates how one person's time and compassion can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

"I'm truly honored and humbled to receive this award. Giving back to my community and supporting causes such as these means the world to me. It's never about the spotlight, it's about doing what I can to make a difference.," stated Nacht.

Josh Shelley, VP, District Manager, was also presented with the award for his many contributions and his unwavering dedication to his community.

Shelley actively supports local businesses through chambers of commerce in Columbus and Franklin, Indiana, while also serving seniors through his involvement with Mill Race and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity build sites. For him, giving back is not just an activity, it's part of who he is.

"Being involved in the community has been incredibly rewarding and I've been fortunate to work alongside so many passionate, dedicated people who inspire me every day," Shelley stated.
