The City of Norman is ready to kick off summer with the opening of the Westwood Family Aquatic Center and two free public splash pads over Memorial Day weekend.
The Westwood Family Aquatic Center officially opens for the 2026 summer season on Saturday, May 23. Season passholders will receive exclusive early access from noon to 1 p.m., followed by general admission open swim from 1-8 p.m. No morning activities will be held on Opening Day.
The regular season runs May 23 through August 7, with Back to School weekend-only hours continuing August 8 through September 7. The final day of public swim is September 7. Open swim hours are Monday through Saturday from 1-8 p.m. and Sundays from 1-6 p.m., while holiday hours on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day will run from noon to 6 p.m.
Daily admission rates are free for children ages 3 and under, $8 for ages 4-17, military members, veterans, first responders, and seniors ages 50+, and $10 for adults ages 18-49. Group admission for 10 or more guests is $5 per person, while Twilight Swim and morning activities are also $5.
Season pass options include a $225 Family Pass, $175 Military Family Pass, $75 Individual Pass, and $65 Military/Veteran and Senior passes. Additional family members may be added for $35 each. Family and Military Family passes include four total passes and may be configured as either two adults and two children or one adult and three children.

Season passholders are invited to attend a special Preview Night on Friday, May 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event is also open to first responders and educators with valid ID. No general admission will be available during the event.
Passholders also receive daily priority entry from noon to 1 p.m.; free access to Water Walking, Lap Swim, Toddler Time, Aqua Zumba, Aqua Fitness, Sensory Swim, Open Swim, Twilight Swim, and special events; discounts on swim lessons, Jr. Elite Lifeguard Camps, Developmental Swim Team, and birthday party rentals; and one one-time-use guest pass per pass plan.
Upcoming summer events include the Let It Glow Family Night on June 19, Father's Day free swim for dads on June 21, the World's Largest Swim Lesson on June 25, and the Red, White, and Blue Swim celebration on July 4. Special events are free for passholders and $5 for non-passholders.
The City of Norman's free public splash pads will also open Saturday, May 23, and remain open through October. Splash pads are located at Andrews Park, 201 W. Daws St., and Colonial Estates Park, 1641 E. Lindsey St., and are expected to operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Families interested in reserving splash pad shelters may do so online at City of Norman Facility Rentals. Shelters are available for rent until October 1, 2026.
