WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers is pleased to announce the continued growth of its commercial insurance brokerage community in 2025.
Reliance Partners, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tenn., is the newest member to join The Council. Founded in 2009, the privately-held, independent insurance agency is focused exclusively on trucking and logistics and has expanded organically to nine regional offices nationwide. The agency's rapid growth is fueled by deep domain expertise in transportation, coupled with tech-enabled services. Today, Reliance provides insurance and risk management solutions to thousands of motor carriers and logistics companies across the country.
Reliance Partners is the latest of 10 new member firms to join The Council this year. The following new members were announced earlier in 2025: Afore Insurance Services (Alpharetta, Ga.), Crest Insurance Group (Tucson, Ariz.), Harmon Dennis Bradshaw (Montgomery, Ala.), Lilienfeld (Santiago, Chile), Sunstar Insurance Group (Memphis, Tenn.), The Cason Group (Columbia, S.C.), Tower Street Insurance (Dallas, Texas), Vantage Insurance Partners (New York, N.Y.), and XPT Specialty (New Haven, Conn.).
"In 2025, we welcomed a strong cohort of innovative, high-caliber retail and specialty brokers, further solidifying our position as the premier association for insurance intermediaries," said Joel Wood, President/CEO of The Council. "This growth among the top 100 brokerage firms in our industry reinforces the strength and momentum of our community. We look forward to their leadership and the pivotal role they will play in shaping the future of our industry."
The Council Partners program also continued its strong momentum in 2025 with increases in investment from Burns & Wilcox, now a Diamond Partner, and MSIG USA, now a Platinum Partner.
As previously announced, The Council welcomed Inigo Ltd. as a Gold Partner and saw increased investment in the Council Partners program from the following organizations attending our 2025 Insurance Leadership Forum: Allianz Commercial, Applied Systems, Brown & Riding, Great American Insurance Group, Sompo, Starr, and The Travelers Companies, Inc. became Diamond Partners, while Beazley, QBE Insurance, and Verisk became Platinum Partners.
"The value that Council Partners bring to this community extends far beyond their investment in events and programming," said Andy Barrengos, Council Board Chair, and the Chairman & CEO of Woodruff Sawyer - A Gallagher Company. "As we continue to navigate an ever-evolving risk ecosystem, strong relationships with our carrier and industry partners will be critical to our Council members and their clients in helping them to see around corners and proactively address business disruption before it's at the door."
The Council will be hosting the 112th annual Insurance Leadership Forum next month.
