AUC Chairperson received the Secretary General of the Inter-African Coffee Org.
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, this afternoon received Amb. Solomon Rutega, Secretary General of the Inter-African #Coffee Organisation @IACOSG.
They exchanged views on the strategic role of Africa's coffee sector in advancing agro-industrial transformation, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.
The Chairperson underscored the need for greater value addition within the continent to maximise benefits for African producers & economies.
H.E. Youssouf commended IACO's initiatives to strengthen intra-African collaboration & enhance the global competitiveness of African coffee, affirming the African Union's readiness to support & champion these efforts.
