San Salvador, September 5, 2025. Aware of the importance of the energy sector for El Salvador's economy, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) sponsored the 12th Regional Energy Congress (COREN) 2025, "Building a sustainable, resilient, and technological future," organized by the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI).
During the event, we participated in the opening ceremony and in the forum "Challenges for the growth of renewable energies and their impact on the Salvadoran economy," in which we shared CABEI's support for energy and environmental sustainability in the country through projects that promote the efficient use of energy resources and the diversification of the energy matrix with the adoption of practices that reduce environmental impact.
COREN has positioned itself as the most important forum in the country for discussing the present and future of the energy sector in Latin America. Through this event, year after year, the productive sector is encouraged to optimize the use of energy resources, develop technical capacities, and improve processes in the industry, to increase its productivity and competitiveness.
This year, two main themes stood out: the Regional Electricity Market (MER) with its new applications, trends, and regulatory standards, and Renewable Energies with their impact on industrial development. Over three days, nearly 600 people attended the event, which also addressed key issues such as technological innovation, the transition to renewable energies, the digitization of industrial processes, and efficient energy management.
With this support, CABEI reaffirms its commitment to promoting initiatives that encourage the use of renewable energy to ensure a greener and more sustainable future for future generations.
