Construction Prompts Ramp Closure on Pellissippi Parkway in Blount County

Motorists traveling on Pellissippi Parkway (State Route 162) and Cusick Road in Blount County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a temporary impact on traffic.

Beginning on Friday afternoon, October 2, the Cusick Road ramp onto Pellissippi Parkway northbound will permanently close. Northbound traffic will be able to access Pellissippi Parkway from the new Amazon Connector Road immediately northeast of the existing ramp.

This new traffic pattern allows contractors to continue work on the Relocated Alcoa Highway project in this area and is expected to be in place until Fall 2027.

As always, drivers are reminded to use all motorist information tools wisely and "Know Before You Go!" by checking travel conditions before leaving for their destination. Drivers should never tweet, text, or talk on a cell phone while behind the wheel.
