Update: Full Weekend Closure of Westbound I-80 Carquinez (Alfred Zampa) Bridge in the cities of Vallejo and Crockett - All Lanes Now Open

Solano/Contra Costa Counties - On Monday August 24, 2026, at Midnight Caltrans construction opened all westbound lanes are now open on I-80 at the Carquinez Bridge (Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge), 3 hours ahead of the scheduled reopening.

Crews successfully paved the two-mile stretch of the bridge deck, while maintenance crews completed vegetation management, fencing repairs, and drainage clearing along westbound I-80 from I-780 to the Toll Plaza.
