Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Ambassador of the Republic of Gabon to Thailand with residence in Seoul

On 22 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Landry Mboumba, Ambassador of the Republic of Gabon to Thailand with residence in Seoul, who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of the Ambassador's visit to Thailand to present his credentials to His Majesty the King on 21 September 2026.

Both sides reaffired their commitment to promoting cooperation across various areas, including economic cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, development cooperation, agriculture and fisheries, as well as the exchange of knowledge and best practices in agricultural production and processing. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of advancing Thailand - Africa Initiative (TAI) towards tangible outcomes and reaffirmed Thailand's readiness to work closely with Gabon as a partner for shared growth and development.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Gabon.
