To encourage protecting pollinators, such as monarch butterflies, and to celebrate Monarchs in the Park with the City of Norman on September 28, 2025, the City of Norman invites teachers throughout Norman to submit student artwork for the first annual Trash-to-Treasure Recycled Art Contest. The contest is open to all Norman elementary school students. Prizes will be awarded to students and teachers during the Monarchs in the Park festivities on September 28, 2025.
Create your masterpiece out of something that would otherwise end up in a landfill and be inspired by the beauty of nature and the magic of monarchs and pollinators!
Submissions are due by 4:30 PM on September 19, 2025 to the Development Center: 225 N. Webster Avenue. Learn more by clicking here.
Be sure to join the City of Norman at the Monarch Festival to vote for the grand prize winner and enjoy a day full of fun festivities!
The festival will be held from 11 AM to 4 PM on September 28 at Legacy Park, 1898 Legacy Park Drive. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
