UToledo Health's Annual Trunk-or-Treat Moves to New Location on Health Science Campus

UToledo Health's Trunk-or-Treat is returning to Health Science Campus on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

This year's event moves to a new location in Area 48 outside the Ruppert Health Center, with free parking available in Area 43. Families can expect decorated candy stations, face painting, temporary tattoos, free cider and donuts. Costumes are encouraged for kids and adults alike.

The heart of the event has always been the employees who volunteer their time to make it come to life.

"Events like Trunk-or-Treat are a great example of how our employees can make a difference beyond their everyday roles," said Tara Parker, director of customer service at the University of Toledo Medical Center. "It gives us an opportunity to connect with our community in a fun, welcoming environment and build relationships with families outside of a traditional healthcare setting."

Now in its fourth year, Trunk-or-Treat has grown steadily and so has the need for volunteers. Opportunities include decorating a trunk and handing out candy, assisting with parking and wayfinding, face painting and staffing the welcome table. Everyone who volunteers for the event will be entered into a prize raffle.

For questions, email Tara Parker at [email protected], or to volunteer, sign up online.
