Chinese Consul General in Cape Town Ren Faqiang Pays a Visit to Northern Cape

From April 12 to 14, Ren Faqiang, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Cape Town, paid an invited visit to the Northern Cape Province. He met with Premier Dr. Zamani Saul, MEC Mangaliso Matika and Mayor Martha Bartlett, attended the 2026 Northern Cape Investment and Job Conference, and visited and extended regards to the local Chinese community.

Consul General Ren shared China's successful experience in reform and opening-up, and spoke highly of the launch of the InvestSA One-Stop-Shop. He noted that these practical steps have effectively improved the local business environment, and voiced confidence that the conference would accelerate the launch of more quality investment projects. The Consulate General stands ready to continue serving as a bridge and work with the Northern Cape to advance bilateral cooperation.

Premier Saul appreciated the support from the Chinese Consulate General in Cape Town for the conference, and expressed readiness to provide convenience for more Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in the Northern Cape.
