Welcome to our crime map. You can search by address, date range, case number, or specific crime type. The map includes serious felony crimes, vehicle prowls, thefts (except shoplifting), and arrests beginning in Nov. 2020. Click on icons for more detail. Addresses listed are rounded to the hundred block. For a complete list of case reports, visit olympiawa.gov/p2c.

Notable Trends

  • One arson reported. Pallets were placed under a businesses' truck and then set on fire. It was extinguished by OFD and did not spread.
  • Officers arrested the suspect in the aggravated assault reported. The suspect strangled the victim.
  • Officers arrested suspects in all three robberies reported. In two cases, suspects fought with employees trying to stop shoplifting. In the other case, the suspect forced his pregnant ex away from a vehicle so he could take her engagement ring. He was located and arrested.
  • One rape reported that is an open investigation. The victim did not know the suspect.
  • Three auto thefts reported. One was an attempt of a 2015 Kia Forte and the other two were 2013 and 2014 Hyundais. Security footage of one theft caught two young men stealing it. There was another attempted auto theft reported under vehicle prowl where a Kia had its window shattered and steering column damaged.
  • Two residential burglaries reported. One was delayed reporting and unsure how anyone entered. In the other case, two men tried to break in through a sliding glass door before being startled off by the victim who was home. Fingerprints were lifted and sent to the lab for processing.
  • Fourteen vehicle prowls or vandalisms reported this week. We saw an uptick in prowls at parks, particularly Watershed. Do not leave valuables in your car. If you have any with you at your destination, take them with you. Park Rangers, Officers and OPD Volunteers are doing extra area patrols.
