The Office of Sustainability, in partnership with Hinge Collective, is launching a series of community Climate Ready workshops where residents can be part of updating Philadelphia's Climate Resilience Plan. The workshops are an opportunity for residents to provide input and help shape the plan to build climate resilience across the city.
Co-hosted with local Climate Resilience Partners, each session invites residents to share how extreme weather affects daily life, as well as help identify solutions to the climate challenges facing their communities. Community feedback will help shape the City's priorities, actions, and investments outlined in the plan.
Why participate?
Community members are invited to join a workshop to:
-
Share your experiences related to extreme weather (e.g. flooding, storms, heat waves).
-
Help guide how the City makes decisions and investments to build resilience.
-
Connect with neighbors around community and citywide solutions.
-
(In-person workshops only) Receive a $50 stipend and free meal.
No special knowledge is required. In-person attendees may bring children and teens to take part in art activities.
Community Workshop Schedule
In-person and virtual workshops will take place from February through April 2026, in every Philadelphia planning district. In-person sessions are limited to 20 participants.
