Rankings highlight Brown’s strengths in teaching, research, career outcomes and impact

The Princeton Review's profile of Brown in its "Best 392 Colleges: 2027 Edition " cited the University's strengths in learning across disciplines, its signature Open Curriculum that enables academic exploration and faculty who "are at the top of their fields and are working on research that pushes those fields forward." And Brown earned the No. 5 spot for "2027 Colleges with the Best Professors in America" from Niche.

In the U.S. News "2026 Best Graduate Schools" guide, Brown appeared on lists recognizing its strengths in medical research, computer science, physics, engineering, sociology, public affairs and more. In the graduate program rankings, Brown placed No. 8 nationally for English, No. 11 for Earth sciences, No. 13 for history, No. 15 for both economics and mathematics, and No. 18 for public health, among many recognitions. Times Higher Education's "World University Rankings 2026< /a>" placed Brown among the top 40 schools globally for "Business and Economics." LinkedIn ranked Brown No. 5 in its first-ever ranking of the "Top Colleges for Engineering and Computer Science Majors," while Brown earned a spot among the top 15 schools nationally for computer science by Niche.
