Papeteries Pichon Awarded 'Committed to CSR' Label at 'Confirmed' Level

In October, Papeteries Pichon Paper Mills received the dual "Committed to CSR" and "Responsibility Europe" labels from AFNOR (French Association for Standardisation). These certifications are based on international standards to assess the maturity and performance of organisations in terms of CSR. These awards highlight the commitments and concrete actions taken by the French specialist in school supplies.

These labels are based on a solid framework consisting of 55 evaluation criteria that challenge the organisation on all the principles of the international ISO 26000 standard. They are also aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, they are reference certifications in the French public sector market, as well as internationally.

"Being labelled Committed to CSR sends a strong signal: that of an organisation that assumes the impacts of its decisions and is committed to the sustainable development of its activities," emphasises AFNOR.

Today, Papeteries Pichon has achieved the confirmed level, which is level 2 out of 3. This highlights our CSR strategy, which is solid, structured, and integrated at all levels of our value chain. This is reflected in the development of a more responsible range of products and services, the reduction of our carbon footprint, our social and societal commitment that takes into account our entire ecosystem, and the support of our suppliers in adopting responsible practices.

This dual labelling is a guarantee of transparency for all our stakeholders and demonstrates our desire to have a positive impact on the world around us. To date, our three French subsidiaries serving the public sector (Pichon Paper Mills, Manutan Collectivités, and Casal Sport) hold these labels. This is proof of a global approach that shines throughout the Manutan group.
