San Francisco County - Caltrans has planned two 12-hour lane closures on the northbound Interstate 280 (NB I 280) between Mariposa Street and the I 280/US 101 Interchange to complete work started several weeks ago to rehabilitate this stretch of the freeway. The first closure begins Friday, October 16, 10 p.m. and ends Saturday, October 17, 9 a.m. The hour earlier opening accommodates the WNBA Finals. Go Valkyries!
The second closure begins Saturday, October 17, 10 p.m. and ends Sunday, October 18, 10 a.m. These weekend work windows will allow crews to complete the placing of polyester concrete on the freeway, enhancing long term pavement durability and improving ride quality for motorists. During these closures, two NB I-280 lanes will be closed to traffic, leaving one lane open. All southbound I-280 (SB I-280) lanes remain open.
