Poland's efforts to join the G20, presence of US troops in Poland, and security guarantees for Ukraine were the main topics discussed by the head of Polish diplomacy with the representatives of US authorities during meetings held in the US capital on 4-6 September.
Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski met with, among others, Chairman of House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Congressman Brian Mast, Chairman of House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Congressman Rick Crawford, Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby, and Director of the National Economic Council Kevin Hassett.

The officials also discussed the issue of using frozen Russian assets by the Western countries and the need to strengthen effective sanctions against Russia. All interlocutors stressed the benefits stemming from the transatlantic cooperation, Polish-US relations being part of it.
Apart from meetings with the representatives of US authorities, Minister Radosław Sikorski also talked with experts from leading think tanks, including the Center for American Progress, the Institute for the Study on War, the America First Policy Institute, the Atlantic Council, the American Enterprise Institute, and the German Marshall Fund.
