Scribendi hosts its annual Open Mic Night as part of Honors Week, celebrating creativity and community within The University of New Mexico's Honors College.
Honors Week, held from Oct. 27-31, is organized by the Honors College to showcase the wide range of interests, disciplines and expertise that thrive within the Honors community.
Everyone with a creative-or supportive-spirit is invited to join in the Honors Forum from 6 to 8 p.m. for an evening of excitement, inspiration and artistic expression. Students are encouraged to bring poems, short fiction, songs, artwork or even their most delightfully strange, genre-bending pieces to share with fellow creators.
The event celebrates the UNM Honors community's vibrant creative energy and provides a welcoming space for students to connect, collaborate and showcase their talents in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Scribendi is a nonprofit, annual print publication that features creative work from undergraduate Honors students nationwide. Originally founded at The University of New Mexico, Scribendi has grown to include contributors from more than 800 institutions within the Western Regional Honors Council and the National Collegiate Honors Council. Produced by students for students, Scribendi continues to encourage and publish creative expression in all its forms.
