Meeting with the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, at Palazzo Chigi today.
Confirming the excellent relations between the two nations, President Embaló expressed his particular appreciation for Italy's approach towards the African continent, promoted also through its Mattei Plan.
The two leaders expressed their will to further deepen bilateral collaboration, starting with the areas of fighting illegal trafficking, with particular reference to drug trafficking.
During the meeting, the two leaders lastly agreed to work on developing joint projects in the fisheries sector.
