Alfred University alumni artists Angus Powers '00, Allister Klingensmith '03, and Corey Fecteau '01 recently participated in the Bushwick Open Studios 2025 event.
Along with artist Ethan Long, Powers, Klingensmith, and Fecteau exhibited recent work and ongoing projects at Klingensmith's Brooklyn studio, Troll Cave, during Bushwick Open Studios 2025. Klingensmith organized this show of four artists whose works trace the porous boundaries between human-made and organic systems.
Bushwick Open Studios 2025 was held Sept. 26-28. The annual event, first held in 2006, is an annual celebration of the creativity of the artists in Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick.
Klingensmith, Powers, and Fecteau all earned B.F.A. degrees from Alfred University. Fecteau also has a bachelor's degree in art history and theory and a master's degree in college student development, both from Alfred University. Powers is professor of glass in Alfred University's School of Art and Design and Fecteau is assistant dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
