Northwest Missouri State University will again devote 1,905 minutes this spring to a community-wide mission of providing students with an affordable, quality education.

The University, which was founded in 1905, and the Northwest Foundation are partnering to organize the sixth annual Bearcat Day of Green, April 7-8. The fundraising event will encourage alumni, employees, students, parents and friends to support various initiatives on campus through financial gifts.

"Bearcat Day of Green is important because it gives all Bearcats a chance to give back to a place that meant so much to them and shaped them into the people and professionals they are now"

- Elizabeth Cline, alumni relations and communications specialist

All individuals and organizations are invited to participate by visiting https://dayofgreen.nwmissouri.edu/ between 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, and 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 3.

"No matter the size of your gift, it all makes an impact," Cline said. "When each Bearcat gives a little, it adds up to something meaningful."

The event invites Northwest supporters to support pillars encompassing scholarships, academics, Bearcat athletics and student life. Donors may also choose to give to the Northwest Fund, which supports the University's most significant needs.

Throughout the campaign, donors' contributions can also help "unlock" challenge gifts to University initiatives based on a predetermined number of donations or giving amounts.

Throughout the event, participants may follow the giving campaign's progress on Northwest Alumni Association social media channels at Facebook, X and Instagram. Participants also may register to promote and raise awareness about the event as ambassadors.
