United States Chief of Naval Operations Makes Introductory Visit to Singapore

The United States Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Admiral (ADM) Daryl Caudle called on Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing at the Ministry of Defence this morning. During their meeting, Mr Chan and ADM Caudle reaffirmed the excellent and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and the US. They also discussed regional security developments and efforts to strengthen mutual cooperation between both navies.

ADM Caudle is in Singapore from 25 to 27 March 2026 for his introductory visit. He also called on Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng and Chief of Navy Rear Admiral Sean Wat, after inspecting a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence earlier today. As part of his visit, ADM Caudle visited RSS Singapura - Changi Naval Base and was briefed on Singapore's maritime security environment and developments of the Republic of Singapore Navy, including in unmanned capabilities.

The USN and RSN interact regularly at all levels through high-level visits, professional exchanges, cross-attendance of courses and seminars, as well as port calls and exercises. These mutually beneficial interactions have enhanced professionalism, strengthened cooperation, and forged strong camaraderie among the personnel of both navies.
