Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri, Nov. 9-15

St. Joseph, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Nov. 9-15.

There may be moving operations, such as mowing, brush cutting and litter removal, throughout the region in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Atchison County

U.S. Route 136 - Resurfacing project from Interstate 29 to U.S. Route 71, east of the Burlington Junction through mid-November. The road will be narrowed to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

Buchanan County

U.S. Route 59/Route 752/Route U - CLOSED northbound between Ohio Street and Alabama Street through mid-December for an ongoing intersection improvement project through September 2027. U.S. Route 169/Belt Hwy - Permit work at Michell Avenue, Nov. 7, 5-8 a.m.

U.S. Route 169/Rochester Road - Permit work southbound at North Village Drive, Nov. 8-Dec. 20.

Caldwell County

Carroll County

U.S. Route 65 - Bridge maintenance at the bridge over Shootman Creek, Nov. 9-10. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane around-the-clock with temporary traffic signals in place and a 10-foot width restriction.

Clinton County

I-35 - Pavement repair from N.E. 272nd Street to Route 116, Nov. 9-13, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. I-35 will be narrowed to one lane daily with a 12-foot width restriction.

Route 116 - Pavement repair from Route 110 to S.E. 248th Street, Nov. 9-13. 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Route 116 will be narrowed to one lane daily with a 12-foot width restriction.

Route BB - Core drilling at the bridge over I-29, Nov. 10-13.

Route K - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 316th Street to Route NN, Nov. 9, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Daviess County

I-35 - Pavement repair from mile marker 79.2 to Elmwood Avenue, Nov. 10-13, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. I-35 will be narrowed to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction.

DeKalb County

U.S. Route 36 - Intersection improvement project at Bob F. Griffin Road, through November 2026. U.S. Route 36 will be narrowed to one lane, with an 11-foot width restriction. There are no right turns from eastbound U.S. Route 36 to southbound Bob Griffin Road or from westbound U.S. Route 36 to northbound Bob Griffin Road. (Contractor: Clarkson Construction Company).

Grundy County

Route K - Scrub seal project from U.S. Route 65 to Route E, Nov. 9-17. (Contractor: Above and Below Contracting, LLC)

Route U - Scrub seal project from Route 190 to Route F, Nov. 9-17. (Contractor: Above and Below Contracting, LLC)

Route 6 - Pavement repair from SW 24th Street to 332th Street, Nov. 9-13. The road will be narrowed to one lane 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Route O - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 37th Avenue to 48th Avenue, Nov. 9-13, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Harrison County

I-35 - Resurfacing project from the Iowa state line to Route N near Eagleville through mid-November 2026. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons)

Holt County

I-29 - Concrete replacement southbound at the 98.2 mile marker, Nov. 9-10.

I-29 - Concrete replacement northbound at the 96.6 mile marker. Nov. 10-12.

Route B - CLOSED to through traffic, around-the-clock, for pavement repairs from U.S. Route 59 to County Road 285, Nov. 12-13.

Livingston County

Route Y - Scrub seal project from Route A to Route 190, Nov. 2-6. (Contractor: Above and Below Contracting, LLC)

Mercer County

U.S. Route 136 - Bridge deck replacement project at the Grand River Overflow Bridge in Princeton, through mid-November 2026. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals.
