Explore Cedar Rapids from the inside out at City Week Open House - Nov. 4

The City of Cedar Rapids invites residents of all ages to explore the inner workings of local government for a free open house on Wednesday, November 4, from 4-6 p.m. at the City Services Center, 500 15th Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids.

City Week Open House offers residents rare access to City spaces not typically open to the public - including the vehicle bay, where nearly a dozen large City vehicles and pieces of equipment will be on display. Get a safe, up-close look at this critical equipment, meet employees from nearly every City department, and take part in interactive displays and giveaways designed for all ages.

Local food trucks will be set up in the parking lot with food for purchase for the duration of the event. City Week Open House will also include opportunities to meet adoptable pets from Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control as a part of the many activities offered throughout the evening.

Visitors who download Mobile CR can redeem an in-app coupon for a free reusable tote bag, while supplies last. Download at CityofCR.com/MobileCR. Additional giveaways and activities will be available as residents learn more about the services and teams that keep Cedar Rapids running.
