Seal Coat Operations Scheduled to Begin in Marion and Ralls Counties

HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, two seal coat projects are scheduled to begin in Marion and Ralls counties as early as August 24. Contractor crews will start on Route H, beginning at U.S. Route 36 near Rensselaer in Marion County and move south to Missouri Route 19 at Center in Ralls County. Once complete, crews will shift to Route A in Marion County, from Missouri Route 168 near Palmyra to Missouri Route 6.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working for the duration of the project. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct traffic through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

The $738,337 contract was awarded to W.L. Miller Company of Hamilton, Illinois. All work is scheduled to be completed by September 2026.
