2025 Rental Registration Deadline Approaching – Submit Before October 31!

PASADENA, Calif - Landlords, have you registered your rental units yet? Time is ticking! The deadline for the 2025 rental registration is Friday, October 31, 2025. All Pasadena residential rental units must be registered annually, with a fee of $238 per unit.

To avoid penalties, landlords are encouraged to complete registration as soon as possible through the Rental Registry Portal. The portal allows property owners to verify unit information, update details, and submit payment securely online.

For those seeking in-person assistance, the final walk-in registration session will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9 a.m. to12 p.m. in the first-floor conference room at the Los Robles Building (199 S. Los Robles Ave.). RSD staff will be available to assist landlords with questions and guide them through the registration process.

Please note: The Rent Stabilization Department (RSD) office will be closed on Friday, October 31, 2025, due to scheduled City closures. Landlords are encouraged reach out for support before the deadline. For clarification, only the RSD office will be closed, payments will still be accepted through the Rental Registry Portal and at the City's Municipal Services Center.

Ways to Submit Your Payment

1. Online: Pay by credit card through the Rental Registry Portal.
2. In Person: Pay by check, cash, credit card, or debit card at Pasadena's Municipal Services Center, located at 100 N. Garfield Ave., Room N106, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
3. By Mail: Pay by check. Write the Invoice Number, Parcel Number, and billing period on your check, detach the payment slip, and include it with your payment.
   Payments must be made in full - partial payments will not be accepted.
   (Although this is an available option, we do not recommend paying by mail at this stage, as there is a possibility that your payment may arrive after the deadline and incur late fees.)

Landlords who miss the October 31 deadline may still submit their rental registration during a seven-day grace period extending through Friday, November 7, 2025, without incurring penalties.
