Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands Shen Bo Signs a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Implementing the Global Governance Initiative with Dr. Christophe[...]

On 16 September, H.E. Mr. Shen Bo, Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands, and Dr. Christophe Bernasconi, Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (the HCCH), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (the MOU) on cooperation in implementing the Global Governance Initiative, which is the first cooperation instrument of this kind concluded by China and an international organization based in the Netherlands.

Mr. Shen Bo stated that on the occasion of the first anniversary of the launch of the Global Governance Initiative by President Xi Jinping, signing the MOU is of great significance. China will take this opportunity to further promote cooperation with the HCCH, and is willing to work with various international organizations in the Netherlands to deepen and expand cooperation in implementing the four global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, with the aim of building a more just and equitable global governance system, and making positive contributions to jointly building a community with a shared future for humanity.

Dr. Bernasconi highlighted the great significance of the Global Governance Initiative and the positive progress achieved so far. He underscored the importance of signing this MOU, and indicated his aspiration to further enhance exchanges and cooperation with China.
