REGISTER HERE - The City of Titusville, with the assistance of Geosyntec Consultants, will be conducting the first of several public engagement activities associated with the completion of a citywide vulnerability assessment. The City received a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Resiliency Florida Program to prepare the vulnerability assessment. This project kicked off in January 2025 and is expected to conclude by March 2026.
The 2025-2026 vulnerability assessment has many components, including acquiring and analyzing data; conducting exposure and sensitivity analyses of critical assets and infrastructure to flooding; identifying adaptation strategies and projects; prioritizing adaptation and mitigation projects; and public outreach.
This study will build upon prior resilience planning activities conducted by the City and address FDEP resilience grant requirements.
It will expand upon the previous resiliency study by identifying critical local and regional assets that are exposed and sensitive to flooding due to rainfall, storm surge, sea level rise, and a combination thereof. This updated analysis will allow the City to develop actionable steps to address evolving vulnerabilities and opportunities for identified geographic and infrastructure focus areas.
The purpose of the first public meeting is to receive input during the initial data collection stage, including factors to consider in completing the vulnerability assessment and critical assets important to the community. Take the survey
The meeting will be held online via the Teams platform on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 12pm. Opportunities for public engagement throughout the project will be shared with attendees.
