The City of Broken Arrow is pleased to announce that Amazon will open a 250,000-square-foot Same Day Delivery Station off College Street west of County Line Road.
This project reinforces Broken Arrow as a hub for modern logistics and private investment. The facility will support Amazon's last-mile delivery network by using passenger vehicles for delivery, a model that aligns with the city's transportation infrastructure and growth plans. This announcement marks another milestone in Broken Arrow's economic momentum and its ability to attract top employers seeking connectivity, a strong workforce, and a business-friendly environment.
By having a Same-Day Delivery Station in Broken Arrow, Amazon will be able to fulfill, sort, and deliver orders from a single site, making the delivery of customer packages even faster.
Mayor Debra Wimpee welcomed the new employer, which is expected to create over 100 local jobs.
"We are thrilled to welcome Amazon's new distribution center to our city. This investment will not only strengthen our local economy but also create new job opportunities for our residents," Wimpee said. "It's a testament to Broken Arrow's growth and our commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that attracts world-class companies. Like Broken Arrow, e-commerce is thriving, and I can think of no better city to help Amazon maintain its commitment to operational excellence in service to its customers."
City Manager Michael Spurgeon welcomes Amazon, the Fortune 500's second-largest company, to Broken Arrow.
"We are excited to work with Amazon, here in the 'City where opportunity lives'. Over the last year, Broken Arrow has seen more than $350 million in private investment and 500 new jobs," Spurgeon said. "With more than 600,000 square feet of retail and commercial space currently under construction in Broken Arrow, Amazon's announcement to join our community is further proof of Broken Arrow's economic vitality, which provides a solid return on private investment."
Amazon's arrival to the city was made possible through a strong partnership with the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation (BAEDC), which worked closely with Amazon and city leaders throughout the site selection and development process to help bring the investment to fruition.
"This announcement reflects the kind of strategic, high-quality growth Broken Arrow continues to attract," said Amber Miller, Vice President of Economic Development at the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation. "Amazon's decision to invest here speaks volumes about our community's regional access, skilled workforce, and pro-business climate. We are proud to help guide this project from early discussions through final development."
James Bell, President and CEO of the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation, added, "This facility represents a major win for Broken Arrow and is a testament to the power of long-term planning and collaboration. We value Amazon's confidence in our community and look forward to supporting their continued success as they grow their presence here."
Amazon's Broken Arrow Same Day Delivery Station is expected to open next year. Hiring timelines and operational milestones will be shared as they become available.
