(April 9, 2026) The City of Davenport is expanding its Automated Traffic Enforcement (ATE) program with new red light cameras at high-traffic intersections. This initiative builds on Davenport's existing ATE efforts and reflects the City's continued commitment to preventing serious accidents on our roads. The new camera locations were chosen based on traffic counts and crash analyses related to red-light violations.

Fees for red-light camera violations will remain $100 per offense. Cameras will be active starting April 9, 2026, but there will be a 30-day warning period for violations. Per Iowa state law, revenue from ATE programs must be used for public safety and infrastructure, not general City operations.
The City of Davenport submits annual reports to the Iowa Department of Transportation on the use of ATE, including crash data and citations issued. The most recent report covering ATE use in 2025 is available at this link.
