Seaport Pilates NYC Brings Boutique Fitness to The Durst Organization's Historic Front Street

A new state-of-the-art fitness studio joins the growing mix of retail and lifestyle options in the South Street Seaport Historic District

NEW YORK, NY (October 10, 2025) - The Durst Organization announced today that boutique fitness studio Seaport Pilates NYC has signed a new lease on Historic Front Street in the South Street Seaport Historic District. Located at 221 Front Street, the studio will bring a new fitness experience to the neighborhood's growing residential population through small group classes designed to deliver private session-level attention. The multi-equipment Pilates practice goes beyond the traditional Reformer, including the rare Cadillac group class experience alongside other dynamic formats.

"Historic Front Street continues to be a vibrant destination for all those who live and work in Lower Manhattan. Seaport Pilates NYC will add a new wellness amenity to complement the many restaurants, services, and cultural offerings the neighborhood has to offer, drawing even more residents and visitors to the Seaport," said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

Seaport Pilates NYC joins a diverse mix of tenants at Historic Front Street including Peck Slip Social, Il Brigante, SUteiShi, The Dermatology Specialists, and Seaport Paw. The retailers offer a variety of amenities to Lower Manhattan's 70,000 residents and more than 233,000 office workers.

"Our new studio is designed to bring a fresh approach to movement on Historic Front Street - a boutique environment where expert instruction, personalized workouts, and a sense of community come together," said Andie Sall, Founder of Seaport Pilates NYC. "We're excited to contribute to the neighborhood's wellness culture while offering something distinctively different for those seeking more than a typical fitness experience."

Historic Front Street is a renowned redevelopment project. The Durst Organization preserved 11 landmarked buildings while introducing three newly constructed ones, spanning almost an entire city block on Front Street in the South Street Seaport Historic District. The site features 95 residential units and 14 retail spaces at street level. The renovation and revitalization of this area honor the district's historical charm, scale, and character.

The Durst Organization was represented in-house by Karen Rose, along with JP Sutro, Brad Schwarz, and Olivia Hwang of Lee & Associates.
