City seeks input on Gattis School Road project

The Gattis School Road Segment 2 project will focus on expanding and improving Gattis School Road between west of Lawnmont Drive to Windy Park Drive, adding lanes, enhancing intersections, and improving pedestrian facilities.

This is a project from Round Rock's Transportation Master Plan which aimed at easing traffic congestion, improving safety, and enhancing mobility for residents and commuters. This segment is not to be confused with Gattis School Road Segment 3 project, which is currently under construction between Windy Park Drive and Double Creek Drive. Gattis School Road Segment 2 is located just west of the Gattis School Road Segment 3 project limits, and a construction date for this project has not yet been set, pending finalization of the design of the improvements.

A public open house is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center multipurpose room, 1600 Gattis School Road. All residents are welcome to attend the open house, though the information will be most relevant to businesses and residents located close to the project area.

Additionally, a public comment period will run from Nov. 7-27 to allow further community feedback. The City is gathering input through an online survey, which is available now at publicinput.com/gattis2.
