Rep. Cisneros Secures Major Funding for CA-31, Bringing in Over $18 Million for Local Projects

WASHINGTON, DC -Today, a group of government funding bills for FY26 passed into law, including all 15 Community Project Funding requests that Rep. Gil Cisneros (CA-31) secured for his district. Totaling at $18,292,000, Rep. Cisneros will be bringing in funding directly to the CA-31 communities in the San Gabriel Valley.

"I am proud to bring back over $18 million in federal funding that will go directly into our CA-31 community," said Rep. Cisneros."Through Community Project Funding grants, our cities will finally get to see their parks and recreation centers get upgrades, bring in new technology for public safety systems, and make long overdue investments in water, transportation, and infrastructure. This funding will be foundational to supporting the growth and success of our community and I look forward to working with our local partners to see their projects through."

Rep. Cisneros successfully secured funding for 15 Community Project Funding requests including:

  • $3.237 million for the San Gabriel Basin Restoration Fund
  • $3.15 million for the construction of the Baldwin Park Family Services Center
  • $1.031 million for the Covina East San Gabriel Valley Police Communications Project
  • $2 million for the City of El Monte's Pioneer Park Construction Project
  • $1.2 million for the City of Glendora's Sandburg Middle School Park Turf and Track Conversion Project
  • $1.031 million for the Modernization of La Verne's Public Safety Dispatch Center & Response Infrastructure Project
  • $1.031 million for the Monrovia Police Department's Critical Communication Center Upgrade to Regional Interoperability Project
  • $1.092 million for the Encanto Stormwater Capture Project
  • $1 million for the City of Industry Regional Safety and Mobility Project
  • $850,000 for the Irwindale Dan Diaz Recreation Center Improvements Project
  • $850,000 for the San Dimas Canyon Road Multi-modal Transportation Improvement Project
  • $820,000 for the La Puente Park Access Initiative Project
  • $500,000 for the City of South El Monte's New Temple Park Facility Improvements
  • $250,000 for the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments' East San Gabriel Valley Sustainable Multimodal Improvement Project
  • $250,000 for the City of West Covina's Fire Station #1 Replacement
