BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will host a comprehensive hiring expo Sept. 1-2 at U.S. Coast Guard Sector Eastern Great Lakes in Buffalo. The two-day event offers job seekers an opportunity to explore a wide range of career opportunities across all DHS components, including transportation security officer (TSO) positions with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR), Ithaca Tompkins International Airport (ITH), Albany International Airport (ALB), and Elmira/Corning Regional Airport (ELM).
"Transportation security officers play a vital role in protecting travelers and maintaining the security of our nation's transportation systems," said Brian Bushnell, TSA federal security director for Upstate New York. "DHS and TSA are looking for dedicated individuals interested in joining our frontline team across Upstate New York."
