PAHO convenes the fifth consultation with Member States for the development of the PAHO Strategic Plan 2026-2031

April 30 13, 2025 (PAHO) - More than 35 representatives from 17 countries and territories across the Region participated in the Fifth Consultation of Member States for the development of the PAHO Strategic Plan 2026-2031.  

The consultation aimed to provide a comprehensive update on the progress made by the Secretariat to present the Strategic Plan 26-31 and a draft PB26-27 to the 176th Executive Committee for approval in June 2025. During the consultation, Member States were given the opportunity to present their concerns and recommendations to improve the SP and the proposal for the budget.

In the spirit of a Members State-driven process, participants were once again invited to provide written feedback, which will be incorporated into the next iteration of the Strategic Plan. The next major milestone of this collaborative effort will be the presentation of the draft document to the 176th Executive Committee in June 2025.

The Strategic Plan 2026-2031 remains a living document, continuously refined through the engagement of Member States and partners to ensure it reflects the shared vision of health and well-being with impact for the Region.
