M-Uth Theatre Ensemble Presents Two Free Plays at the Ware Center

The M-Uth Theatre Ensemble, a mixed-ability theatre company for teens and young adults, will present free performances of "Antigone in Munich" and "Radium Girls" at the Ware Center for the Arts on Aug. 8 and 9. The inclusive ensemble brings together young performers from all backgrounds - some of whom face or have faced significant life challenges - to expand access to arts participation.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m., the M-Uth Theatre Ensemble presents a reprise performance of "Antigone in Munich" by Claudia Hass, which first ran at the Ware Center in summer 2025. The show returns for one performance only, featuring the full cast from the original production. "Antigone in Munich" tells the true story of Sophie Scholl, a member of the White Rose student resistance group in Nazi Germany, as she comes of age and evolves from bystander to activist.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 9, at 2 p.m., the ensemble presents "Radium Girls" by D.W. Gregory. The play chronicles the lives of young women who worked in early 1900s dial-painting factories and were exposed to radium-based paint. When the girls began to get sick, the company embarked on a cover-up to save themselves and their business while slowly poisoning their workers.

Admission to all shows is free, and no tickets are required.
