CPChem wrapped up its 2025 CPChem Cares Campaign, a month-long initiative that showcased the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility, employee engagement and global community support.
Throughout September, CPChem employees across the United States pledged donations to qualified nonprofit organizations, contributing a total of over $560,000. Qualified donations were then matched by the company, bringing our total impact to over $1M and reinforcing CPChem's dedication to philanthropy in the chemical industry.
This initiative reflects CPChem's core belief that corporate giving and employee-led charitable efforts can drive meaningful change in the communities where we live and work.
In honor of CPChem's 25th anniversary, employees across the company united to make a meaningful impact, donating a combined total of 3.3 tons of food to help fight hunger in the communities we serve. For reference, 3.3 tons is equivalent to one large elephant or hippopotamus.
According to Feeding America, every 1.2 pounds of food donated provides one meal. Based on that estimate, CPChem employees helped provide 5,498 meals to individuals and families in need, an inspiring example of the power of collective action.
This global food drive was held in conjunction with our annual CPChem Cares Campaign in the U.S., with each CPChem facility around the world contributing several hundred pounds of food to local nonprofits. The effort reinforced our commitment to community support, food security, and global sustainability.
"It was inspiring to see our employees come together in support of something that truly matters," said Corporate Communications Manager Erica Miller. "This food drive was a reflection of the caring spirit that defines CPChem and the shared success we've built over the past 25 years."
The significance of this initiative extends beyond our company. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 11 people worldwide faced hunger in 2023. CPChem's global food drive aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to end hunger and ensure access to safe, nutritious food for all.
From Texas to Europe and Asia, CPChem employees demonstrated that global corporate citizenship is more than a concept; it's a shared responsibility. This worldwide participation highlights CPChem's role as a responsible chemical manufacturer and a leader in community outreach.
To every employee who contributed: thank you. Your generosity and commitment to volunteerism, community service and social impact continue to shape our culture and strengthen the communities we serve.
