Nano researchers gathered for inspiring days in Båstad

The scientific programme featured many compelling presentations, including a talk titled Nanofluidics by Professor Aleksandra Radenovic. She is member of the AoA Nano Scientific Advisory Board and works at the Laboratory of Nanoscale Biology at EPFL, Switzerland.

The Arne Sjögren Prize Winner, Ludovico Tesser, presented his research in a talk titled Thermodynamic Constraints on Noise.

Viktor Lilja, one of Nano's Excellence PhD students, talked about Inverse design in photonics.

Shantanu Mishra, one of the new Assistant Professors who joined Chalmers last year, held the presentation Single-molecule generation, manipulation and characterization by scanning probe microscopy.

Many of the event participants contributed to the poster session, where a prize was awarded to the researchers behind the three posters selected as the best ones this year:

• Caroline Lööf for Chemical Signatures of the Prostate Tumour Ecosystem Revealed by Mass Spectrometry Imaging.

• Oliver Svahn for Perpetual Cavities: A Flow-Cell for Tuneable Optical Microcavities.

• Elsa Danielsson for An Autonomous Feedback Protocol: Responding to Temperature Changes in Energy Converters.

In addition to the scientific program, many participants joined a hike to the scenic Hovs Hallar, while others networked and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Hotel Skansen.
