December 10, 2025 - The City of St. Petersburg has launched the Level Up Arts Grant for non-profit arts and culture organizations with budgets of $50,000 or less. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on April 30, 2026, or until funds are depleted.
"As a City of the Arts, it's an honor to celebrate the launch of the second year of St. Petersburg's Level Up Arts Grants," said Celeste Davis, Director of Arts, Culture, and Tourism for the City of St. Petersburg. "Building on last year's success, we're eager to once again uplift small, local organizations whose creativity enriches and inspires our community."
To qualify for this grant, an organization must:
Be a non-profit arts or culture organization with an annual budget of $50,000 or less
Be registered as a non-profit with the Florida Secretary of State
Be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization whose primary mission-stated in the mission statement or Articles of incorporation-is focused on arts or culture programming or services
Have been operating and providing services in the City of St. Petersburg for at least one year from the date of state registration
Be located in St. Pete and meet one of the following:
Provide more than 50% of its arts/cultural programming within the City for the benefit of St. Pete residents and visitors, OR
Be a history, science, or children's museum that offers ongoing arts/culture programming, performances, or exhibitions for St. Pete residents and visitors
Level Up Arts Grants will provide operational or project-based funding for allowable expenses of arts/cultural organizations during the specified fiscal year
Proposals may be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are expended
Award amounts are $5,000 each
The Level Up Arts Grant is intended to provide project or capacity-building funding to eligible non-profit arts organizations that contribute to St. Pete's vibrant arts and culture landscape. Eligible organizations must have activities focused on one or more of the Mayor's Pillars For Progress, such as Equitable Development, Arts and Business Opportunities, or Education and Youth Opportunities.
