NEMA Launches New Digital Storefront for Standards, Expanding Access to Essential Technical Resources

ARLINGTON, Va. - The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) today announced the launch of the NEMA Standards & Publications Store, a new NEMA-owned and operated digital storefront that serves as the authoritative source for NEMA technical standards and related publications.

The launch represents a significant step forward in NEMA's commitment to making its industry-leading standards more accessible to the product designers and engineers, manufacturers, electricians, procurement officers, and other end users who depend on them. The new store offers a more seamless experience for discovering, accessing, and purchasing NEMA's full retail catalog - encompassing more than 800 standards, technical documents, and guidance materials - while also connecting users to other NEMA programs such as the Make It American™ program and NEMA Academy.

"NEMA standards are the backbone of a safe, reliable, and interoperable electrical industry," said NEMA SVP of Strategic Growth & Membership Alexa Burr. "Launching our own storefront is about meeting our users where they are. This initiative is about making it easier than ever to find, access, and apply the technical resources that keep products safe and systems working together. It's a natural extension of our commitment to the standards ecosystem and everyone who depends on it."

NEMA standards govern a wide range of electrical and medical imaging products - from enclosures and electric motors to transformers, lighting systems, and fire and life safety equipment. These standards underpin product safety certifications, procurement specifications, and regulatory compliance frameworks across the U.S. and around the world. Broader accessibility to these resources means faster time-to-compliance for manufacturers, and stronger confidence in the products that reach the marketplace.

Specifically, the NEMA Standards and Publications Store features:

  • Intuitive browsing by topic area, making it easier to find standards relevant to a prospective user's work
  • Robust search functionality to help a prospective user quickly locate specific standards
  • Access to a comprehensive catalog of more than 800 standards, technical documents, and guidance materials - all in one centralized location

"NEMA standards sit at the center of some of the most urgent challenges facing the electrical industry-from data center reliability and energy storage to domestic manufacturing requirements," said NEMA Senior Vice President of Strategy, Technical, and Industry Affairs Patrick Hughes. "By bringing our standards and technical guidance into a single, modern storefront, we're making it faster and easier for the industry to put those solutions to work."
