City Council Schedules Special Meeting to Get Legal Advice Ahead of June 2 Work Session on Data Centers

Hillsboro Mayor Beach Pace has scheduled a special meeting of the Hillsboro City Council on May 26 to ask legal questions and get advice from Hillsboro's City Attorney in preparation for the June 2 Council Work Session.

  • The May 26 special meeting will be an Executive Session that is not open to the public, unlike the June 2 Work Session.

  • The special meeting in Executive Session on May 26 will allow the Council to receive legal information related to data centers requesting Enterprise Zone tax abatements and the impacts of House Bill 4084.

All community members are invited to attend the City Council Work Session on Data Centers on Tuesday, June 2, at 6 pm inside the Hillsboro Civic Center.

  • Everyone is welcome to attend on June 2 in person (room capacity limits apply) or by watching live online via TVCTV or the City of Hillsboro's YouTube channel.

  • Public comment will not be taken during the Work Session starting at 6 pm, and continuing after the conclusion of the regular City Council meeting at 7 pm.

  • Public comment will be taken during the regular City Council meeting starting at 7 pm.
