PARKING PLACES - DISABLED PERSONS' VEHICLES

The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The Parking Places (Disabled Persons' Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026", (S.R. 2026 No. 82) which comes into operation on 20th May 2026.

The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Derry/Londonderry, Holywood, Newtownards and Portaferry. All parking places are for the use of disabled persons' vehicles only.

A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged by telephoning 0300 200 7899. The Rule may also be viewed online at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/nisr
