Depadt leads Texans once again with another top-five finish at Veritex Brank Collegiate, Tarleton State finishes 10th

DALLAS - once again paced the Texans turning in her seventh top-five finish of her Texan career dating back to her first at the UTA Invite when she finished third to open her Purple and White career.

Following Day 1 of the collegiate the Texans sat in sixth place as Depadt led the entire field shooting five under.

"Our Day 1 team score was the result off a great team effort," said head coach . "Today in the final round things just did not go our way, golf is tough and so it was today."

The Purple and White finished tenth at the Trinity Forest Golf Course as they shot +42 (906, 299-293-314).

"I am proud of the way Louise competed again this week," continued Jimenez. "We have had little rest and practice between events, but she was able to perform really well. Even though the last round was not what she wanted, she displayed a great game and was able to get in the mix with many talented players from big conferences all across the country."

Depadt shot -2 (214 ,69-70-75) as she led the Texans finishing tied for fifth. once again followed Depadt this time finishing tied for 26th as she shot +8 (224, 77-71-76).

, and rounded things out for Tarleton State. Fernandez finished 59th as she shot +19 ( ,74-76-84) as Guzman finished not far behind placing 67th turning in a score of +23 ( ,79-76-84). Fox closed things out for the Purple and White as she was tied for 75th after three rounds in the heart of Dallas. Fox shot +30 ( ,87-80-79)

The Texans are set to return to action on Monday, April 14 as Tarleton State will head back west once again, this time for the WAC Championship Monday-Wednesday. The championship will be held at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona where the Purple and White began their spring campaign with the Wigwam Preview.

In the Wigwam Preview, the Texans came out victorious taking first place as they shot +30 (894). The Texans had three finish in the top-10 among the 51-woman field, led by Depadt who finished fifth marking her third top-five finish dating back to the fall at the time. She finished shooting +5 (221, 75-71-75). Following the Lusanger, France, native, was who finished tied for sixth. The senior turned in a score of +6 (222, 75-76-71). Deltombe notched her a top-10 finished as she came in off the course tied for ninth. She shot +8 (224, 73-78-73) earning her fourth top-10 finished dating back to the fall campaign.
