Annual Celebration of Lights/Luminaria

Please join us in celebration December 13, 2025 for this free event that provides friends and families an opportunity to honor the memory of those who have passed away but are not forgotten.

Luminarias are lit bearing the name of a loved one remembered and glow warmly at dusk throughout the Commons, representing light and hope. This event is free and open to everyone.

MaineGeneral Hospice & Volunteers of Kennebec Valley hosts this annual Celebration of Lights.

We will do a walking tour at 5 p.m. through the Common and Christ Episcopal Church will be open with candles, music and refreshments. People are invited to sit and warm up.

The candles will burn bright through the glowing luminaria on the Common to celebrate those who brought light into our lives.
